Born in London, Angela completed a BA. Hons in Fine Art from the National College of Art & Design in Dublin in 1994 and an MA.Contemporary Visual Art at University College Falmouth in 2005. She is an associate member of the Royal Ulster Academy.
She has received numerous awards from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and has been the recipient of a Bursary from the Arts Council of Ireland and Culture Ireland travel Award. Angela won the 2019 Perpetual Gold Medal prize at the Royal Ulster Academy awarded by Mr. Sean Rainbird and also the Ulster Arts Club Prize 2004, which was awarded by Anthony Green RA. She was an invited artist at the annual Royal Hibernian Academy exhibition in Dublin in 2002, was shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2005.
Angela has been exhibiting her work since 1993 in group shows nationally and internationally including Dublin, Belfast, Catalonia, Liverpool, London, Japan and Uzbekistan. Solo exhibitions include James Wray & Co. Belfast and the Gordon Gallery, Derry, 2009 and 2012.
Her work is held in public collections including the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Department of Finance, Northern Ireland, International Investments and Underwriting, Dublin, the Office of Public Works, as well as private collections in Ireland and abroad.
